Simon’s Town is the small village about 45 minutes from the centre of Cape Town and less than 10 km from the entrance of Good Hope section of the Table Mountain National Park. It is also home to large African penguin colony at Boulders Beach and the departure point for trip to view and dive with great white sharks. You can also enjoy trips to watch whales, dolphins, seals and albatrosses from Simon’s Town. There is much interesting history in the area – Dutch, British and South African – three museums and many quaint shops.
Add some lovely restaurants, super beaches, mountain hikes and the atmosphere of the South African navy to this is a great destination and you won’t be short on things to see and do.
We highly recommend that you book a stay in Simon’s Town and enjoy it from your room with a view at the owner-run Mariner Guest House.
